How long will the results last?

It would depend on how quickly your hair grows, but usually your wax could last between 3-4 weeks.

What is the difference between Brazilian wax and bikini wax?

Brazilian wax is a method of hair removal that removes all the hair from the genital area. It involves the removal of hair from the areas around the vagina, perineum and anus. Most women prefer to take it all off, but you have the option to leave a strip at the top of the pubic area. Make sure to clarify this with your esthetician before you get started.

Bikini wax removes only the hair that is visible around the bikini area.

What is the minimum age to schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment you must be 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years old, your parent or legal guardian must book your appointment and come in with you on the day of your service in order to provide consent.

Can I bring a friend/child/spouse in the room with me?

In an effort to facilitate the safest and most professional waxing service, only the client and esthetician are permitted in the room during an appointment. The ONLY exception is for minors who require the accompaniment of their parent or legal guardian. Guests of clients are invited to wait in our designated reception area. For safety reasons, a child requiring adult supervision cannot be left unattended during your appointment.

What is your late policy?
Arrivals more than 10 minutes LATE will result in $10 fee and if your arrival time affects the duration of your treatment, we will do our best to accommodate with the remaining time. If your late arrival leaves insufficient time to be seen for a treatment with our observed treatment protocols, you will be responsible for paying a same day cancellation fee.
Can I wax during pregnancy?

Yes, you can wax during pregnancy. However, your skin may be more sensitive due to hormonal changes. Our esthetician will try to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Please consult with your doctor if you are on your last two months of pregnancy.

What is a normal skin reaction after waxing?

It is normal to show some redness after waxing. This usually subsides within a few hours.

Can I get a Brazilian wax during my period?

Yes, just let your esthetician know. Make sure the area is clean and wear a tampon. Also be aware that your skin is more sensitive and you may experience more discomfort than usual.

Does waxing make my hair grow thicker?

No, waxing regularly may cause your hair to grow thinner and sparser. Waxing removes hair by the root and sometimes the root weakens in the process.

Can I wax the day of a special event?

We recommend waxing a few days before a special event to avoid any unforeseen circumstances (redness, breakouts, etc)

Can I wax if I have skin irritations?

No, we do not perform services on skin that is unhealthy, irritated or sunburn. Please allow your skin to heal before making an appointment.

Can I tan before or after I wax?

We recommend waiting 24-48 between waxing and tanning. If you tan you run the risk of uneven color.

Does waxing hurt?

Everyone’s tolerance for pain is different. You can expect a brief stinging sensation when the wax is being removed. If you are concern about the pain, taking an aspirin or ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to your appointment can help minimize your discomfort.  Please check with your physician before taking any medication. Waxing frequently causes finer and less hair to grow, consequently causing waxing to be less painful.

How long does waxing take?

Waxing can take between 10 to 60 minutes depending on the service scheduled and hair growth.

Do I need to arrive early for my appointment?

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes in advance of your appointment. This is especially important for new clients who need to fill out our client consent form. If you can’t arrive 5-10 minutes early, please visit our website at www.lusciousbw.com and click on the “Book Now” tab. Here, you can print a consent form that can be pre-filled and submitted upon arrival.

Can I walk-in or do I need an appointment?

While we do recommend scheduling an appointment, walk-ins are ALWAYS welcome! If however, we cannot accommodate you immediately, we will provide you our next available time.

What is your no show policy?
If you are a NO-SHOW for your appointment we will charge the card on file 75% of the missed services.
How do I prevent being considered a “No Show”?
  1. Show up to your appointment and/or arrive no later than 10 minutes past your scheduled time.
  2. Cancel appointments with a minimum of 24 hours prior to your scheduled time.
